HIRING METHODOLOGY

WRITTEN APPLICATION

  • All applications had the applicant name, email, and college hidden from readers evaluating them
  • Every application had two independent readers who took notes and made a recommendation on if the applicant should be extended a group interview
  • After every application was independently evaluated, our whole hiring team came together to discuss the feedback and select to whom we would be extending a group interview 
  • We heavily weighted the effort we felt was put into each application
  • We generally value voice and passion coming through in the application over experience (this is why we chose to eliminate the resume component this application cycle)

GROUP INTERVIEW 

  • Each group interview was evaluated by two managers who took notes on the following criteria (creativity, thinking and analysis, communication, and teamwork) and made a recommendation if the applicant should be extended an individual interview
  • After every group interviewee was independently evaluated, our whole hiring team came together to discuss the feedback from both the group interview and written application and select to whom we would be extending an individual interview
