2024-2025 REC Managers and Analysts

Camille Doherty is a senior at Claremont McKenna College from Denver, CO. She is a dual major in Philosophy, Politics, & Economics (PPE) and Film Studies, and is interested in the intersections of environmentalism, media, policy, and social impact. In her free time, she loves to mountain bike, hike, play guitar, and spend time with her sisters.

Talia is a senior at CMC majoring in Economics with a sequence in Leadership Studies. She is originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is excited to be leading the Policy and Outreach team! Outside of the REC, Talia enjoys painting, spending time outdoors, camping with friends, and frequenting the beach.

Annika is a junior at CMC studying Economics with a Sequence in Data Science. She has a particular interest in environmental economics research. Outside of the REC, she works as a research assistant at the Lowe Institute of Political Economy and a tutor at the Robert Day School, and enjoys modern dance and graphic design.

I am Pierce Sanderson, a senior at Claremont McKenna studying economics and government. I am from San Francisco and love the outdoors, surfing, hiking, and backpacking. In my free time, I play lacrosse on campus, love to draw, and enjoy being outdoors.Hi, my name is Pierce Sanderson and I am a junior at CMC studying economics and government. I am from San Francisco, love to surf, ski, and the outdoors. At Claremont McKenna I am also on the lacrosse team and love watching sports.

Alexa is a Senior at Pitzer College studying Environmental Analysis (Environment and Society) and Gender Studies. She is interested in human-environment interactions and how social science can help align climate mitigation strategies with both community and environmental needs.
She is a certified PADI Rescue Scuba Diver with a soft spot for marine ecosystems. In her free time, Alexa enjoys backpacking, surfing, herbal tea, and DIY crafts.

Diana is a junior at Claremont McKenna College majoring in Environment, Economics, and Politics. She is interested in the intersection of sustainability, impact investing, and real estate. Diana has previously worked on the Green Consulting team for two years and is currently on the Energy team. Outside of the REC, she serves as the Events & Marketing Director of the Real Estate Finance Association, works as a student intern at the Center for Global Education, and enjoys hiking, swimming, photography, traveling, and spending time with friends & family.

I’m a sophomore at CMC studying public policy and philosophy. I’m super excited to be on the Sustainable Business Practices Team, and am hoping to learn more about environmental careers and nature-based business solutions. Outside of the REC, I compete with the Model UN team and volunteer with the Prisoner Education Project, and in my free time, I enjoy kayaking, crocheting, and collecting vinyl records.

Anna is a freshman at Claremont McKenna College studying Economics and Government. She is passionate about sustainable agriculture and environmental policy. Outside of the REC, she loves hiking, snowboarding, coffee, and cooking!

Lilly is a senior at Claremont McKenna College majoring in public policy. She is especially passionate about environmental justice and climate action, having previously interned at the California Air Resources Board, The Toothpick Project, and the Benioff Ocean Science Laboratory at UCSB through the National Science Foundation. The 24-25 year will be her fourth year at the REC. Lilly is one of two student representatives on the college’s Board of Trustees Campus Planning & Facilities Committee 24-25 and a sitting board member at the Verdani Institute for the Built Environment (VIBE). In her free time she enjoys playing and listening to music, watching documentaries, and finding the best food in LA.

Jay D’Ercole is a sophomore from New York, majoring in Environment, Economics, and Politics at Claremont McKenna College. He is passionate about creating sustainable solutions, with experience ranging from conducting agricultural research with NASA to co-founding a recycling business. Outside of the REC, he expands his understanding of sustainability in business and policy through his work with the Claremont Law and Business Review and the Randall Lewis Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Jay also plays lacrosse for the Claremont Cougars and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Caren is a sophomore at CMC from Seattle, WA., duel majoring in Government and Economics. She is passionate about the intersection between the environment and sustainable business, especially in female-founded companies, and is excited to join the REC as an analyst year! Outside of the REC, she is a Romero Success Coach, freestyle skier on the Claremont Colleges Ski and Snowboard Team, and avid backpacker, reader, and (novice) surfer!

Abhinav is a junior at Claremont McKenna College pursuing a BA in PPE and Philosophy. He is interested in renewable energy policy and deployment, and enjoys hiking and trips to museums.

Rachel is a junior at Claremont McKenna College from South Florida studying public policy, economics, and data science. Outside of the REC, she interns for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In her free time, Rachel loves to visit national parks to hike and snorkel, listen to Taylor Swift, and play with her cat Nala.

Jiyeon is a junior at Claremont McKenna College majoring in Environment, Economics, & Politics. Along with the REC, her involvement with the EnviroLab Rural Futures project has developed her passion for learning about how we may be able to cultivate more sustainable, equitable communities. In her spare time, Jiyeon enjoys distance running, dabbling in textile arts, and recharging on Marston Quad.

Asha is a freshman at Scripps from Brooklyn, New York interested in majoring in environmental analysis or physics. Despite growing up in the city, Asha is very engaged with the environment, spending most of her summers backpacking in the Talkeetna mountains and the Adirondacks. In her free time, Asha loves playing pickleball, thrifting, and spending time with her friends and family.

Calli is a senior at pitzer studying environmental analysis on the policy track with a Spanish minor. She is passionate about equitable global supply chains and helping decarbonise our world. She lives out of her backpack in her free time and prefers to be on the road

Mulan is a sophomore at Pomona College from the Washington DC area. She is majoring in Public Policy Analysis with a concentration in Environmental Analysis, as well as minoring in Data Science. She is passionate about being a bridge between science and policy, and exploring how art can be a tool for environmental justice. Outside of the REC, she can be found practicing for Mock Trial, drawing and writing poetry, and climbing the nearest tall surface.

Hailey is a sophomore at Claremont McKenna College from Hood River, OR. She is a dual major in Environmental Analysis (science track) and Spanish, and she is interested in conservation biology and sustainable food systems. Outside of school, she loves ballroom dancing, hiking, reading, and playing piano.
